Burning Coal Theatre in Raleigh, NC

Burning Coal Theatre is a professional theatre, which means we pay our artists. Every year, Burning Coal Theatre auditions local and national talent for plays and performances in our location in Downtown Raleigh, NC. See below for more information. 

Actors must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

The sign up for our open call auditions is now full. Please click here to join our waitlist for in-person auditions or if you prefer, click here to submit a video audition  by April 9th at 11:59 PM (more details below).  

Open Call Auditions will take place at 224 Polk St. Raleigh, NC 27604 on April 15th, 2023. In-person auditions are preferred. 

Please prepare a 1-minute contemporary monologue and 32 bars maximum of a song. An accompanist will be provided. Bring printed sheet music in your key and two copies of your headshot and resume.

Callbacks will be scheduled on an individual basis. If you are not cast this season, we will keep your resume on file (although we recommend re-auditioning annually to keep your records up to date).
