Auditions for 2021-22 Season!




Burning Coal Theatre Company is announcing that it will be accepting auditions for its upcoming production of EVITA by Webber and Rice and for its 2021/2022 25th anniversary season by video submission only.  We’re not entirely set on our season yet, but we do know we will be doing I AND YOU by Lauren Gunderson and GALILEO adapted by David Edgar from the Brecht.  The other two mainstage productions are still TBA.  Actors should submit 

  • 2 one-minute video monologues, one dramatic and one comedic (just one needed for Evita) and

your updated one-page resume via

Audition submissions will be accepted through April 15, 2021 though casting may begin before then, so the sooner you get your submission in, the better.

If you auditioned last season via video, you may submit an updated resume and the same video files if you like.

Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice
Directed by Jerome Davis / Diane Petteway, Music Director
Rehearsals May 18 – June 16, 2021 (weekday evenings & weekend days)
Performances Thur through Sat at 7:30 pm and Sun at 2 pm June 17- 27, 2021
Actors who sing sought:  all ages, genders and ethnicities should apply

I and You by Lauren Gunderson
Directed by Lucy Jane Atkinson
Rehearsals Sept 13 – Oct 6, 2021 (weekday evenings & weekend days)
Performances Thur – Sat at 7:30 pm and Sun at 2 pm October 7 – 24, 2021.
Actor sought:  African American male who can play late teens, Caucasian, Latinx or Asian female who can play late teens
