Burning Coal’s first priority is the safety of our community. Our requirements are designed to help protect audiences, staff, artists, and volunteers, while continuing to present the live, visceral experiences you expect.
Indoor events will require proof of vaccination OR proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 diagnostic test, plus a face mask (see details below).
Outdoor events do not require proof of vaccination and will not be socially distanced, but will require face masks. These precautions are in line with industry guidelines and government regulations, and have been approved by Burning Coal’s Board of Directors.
The following precautions have been put in place for all indoor events until further notice:
Burning Coal Theatre Company is requiring proof of a COVID-19 vaccination OR proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of an event date for all audience members and volunteers. Please bring physical or digital proof with you to be reviewed by the house manager or staff member at check-in. No one will be admitted without proof of vaccination.
In line with this requirement, 100 percent of Burning Coal staff and artists are vaccinated.
Face coverings for staff and guests are required for all indoor performances, until further notice. (Actors, however, will not wear masks.) Masks will be provided for those who forget them. No one will be admitted without a mask.
We will review this policy show-by-show to adhere to the advice of City, County, or State officials and the CDC’s recommendations, whichever has the greater safety precautions required.
Hand sanitizer is located throughout the building. We strongly recommend using hand sanitizer and/or washing your hands frequently during your visit.
Parties will be seated with spaces in between to create distanced seating, on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to be seated with people who bought tickets separately from you, please email firstname.lastname@example.org within 48 hours of your performance to guarantee our house manager seats you as close together as possible.
If someone in your party requires wheelchair or accessible seating, please let us know in advance if possible by emailing email@example.com.
A house manager, staff member, or volunteer usher will check your temperature prior to entry with a touchless thermometer. If you have a fever, you will be asked to reschedule by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
