Every year, Burning Coal Theatre expands the boundaries of local theatre to travel as a group to remarkable places of theatre worldwide.

JOIN OUR RURAL ENGLAND TOUR 2025
Join Burning Coal’s artistic director Jerome Davis on a whirlwind tour of all the best theatre experiences available in the English countryside. Together you’ll discover the newest plays, oldest stages (and vice versa), and hear some of Jerome’s wonderful anecdotes.

The tour will include:
– Air Fare to and from Heathrow and RDU
– Transportation via train or chartered bus throughout the week
– A room (double occupancy) in a beautiful hotel for 7 nights, including free Wi-Fi and breakfast (with group discussion each morning)
– Tickets to 6 plays at theatres such as the Royal Shakespeare Company, Birmingham Repertory Theatre, and the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester
5 additional events during the day, such as:
– A backstage theatre tour to the Swan or Shakespeare North
– A visit to a major museum like the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery or The Science and Industry Museum in Manchester
– A visit to a major historic site such as Shakespeare’s birthplace, Stonehenge, or Manchester Cathedral
– Time off for personal exploration
– And last but not least: the legendary Burning Coal Theatre Tour T-Shirt!
PRICES & SIGN UP
The standard price for the tour is $3500 total per person, which accounts for double occupancy rooms and includes airfare from Raleigh / Durham (RDU).
Dates of tour: April 12 – 20, 2025
Other price options:
$2,800 total per person if you bring your own airfare with double occupancy room
$3,950 total per person for single occupancy room, airfare included
$3,350 total per person for single occupancy room and bring your own airfare
Security deposit of $700 due by December 1st, 2024 (refundable only if Burning Coal cancels the tour). Final payment due by January 15, 2025.
In all instances, this deposit is only refundable if the tour is cancelled. It is understood that the tour will be rescheduled, not cancelled, if pandemic conditions necessitate that we do so.
