#1 Support the Work
Burning Coal is here to create thought-provoking live theatre in the Triangle, for the Triangle. Our work (although often entertaining) is not frivolous. This season we are shedding light on women in STEM, income inequality, and the mental health crisis. We are doing the crucial work of bringing more empathy and understanding directly to our Triangle community.
#2 Support the Artists
By purchasing a ticket to this fundraiser, you are paying an artist. Burning Coal brings together the best artists from Raleigh to London to collaborate and create theatre that is experienced, not simply seen. We do that by paying them as much as we can. With your help, we can continue to elevate our local talent and connect with more world-renowned artists.
#3 Keep it Accessible
All fundraisers raise funds to pay our artists and support the work you see on stage. THEY also HELP us keep ticket prices low to make Burning Coal accessible to everyone. In addition to a Pay-What-You-Can day for every Main Stage production, our ticket prices range from $5 – 30. If we charged our full value, ticket prices would double.
Burning Coal Theatre Company is funded in part by the City of Raleigh based on recommendations of the Raleigh Arts Commission. Burning Coal Theatre Company is supported by the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County.
