Fundraiser:

Giving Tuesday 2024

December 3rd, 2024

Help us MAKE IT RAIN this Giving Tuesday!

Your donation helps Burning Coal continue our mission of bringing literate, visceral, and affecting theatre to the Triangle area.

Donate today and vote for what song from the American Musical Theatre canon you would like to see performed by Burning Coal’s own Natalie Reder and Alec Donaldson on Tuesday, December 3rd!

Vote for:
  • “A Little Fall of Rain” from Les Miserables
  • “Soon It’s Gonna Rain” from The Fantasticks
  • “The Rain in Spain” from My Fair Lady

And be ready to be swept away!

Giving Tuesday is an international day of giving that also kicks off our end-of-year giving!

This year, we’re encouraging you to donate through our “Make It Rain” initiative. In the spirit of our December production, The Rainmaker, we’ve collaborated with some of our favorite local artists to perform songs about rain from the American Musical Theatre canon, leading up to the final performance on December 3rd.

For every donation, you get a chance to VOTE for the song you would like to see performed by Burning Coal’s very own Natalie Reder and Alec Donaldson on Giving Tuesday from the Burning Coal stage!

Want to make your donation go even further? Contribute a matching donation by emailing development@burningcoal.org

Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity that will take place on December 3, 2024.

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of radical generosity to transform communities and the world. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Grassroots generosity and community action are powerful forces for good, especially in turbulent times. Even in times of economic uncertainty, we each have a deep reserve of generosity, which we can deploy in myriad ways to make a difference–your time, your kindness, your skills, your voice are all things you can give in addition to charitable donations. If you are unable to give financially at this time, consider signing up for our volunteer list, or send in your favorite Burning Coal story to development@burningcoal.org to inspire others to give.

All funds raised go directly to paying all artists, crafting sets, costumes, and props, rigging up the lights, supporting our arts educators, and making the experiences for you at Burning Coal.  For over 25 years, Burning Coal has worked to represent all of Raleigh. Here, internationally-renowned artists work alongside local professionals to develop one-of-a-kind experiences. The stories we choose to tell relate to the conversations going on at dinner tables across the Triangle. If you appreciate the experiences you’ve had at Burning Coal, please consider a contribution today.
