Burning Coal Theatre Company is located at 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC 27604.
During performances, there is a big open parking lot adjacent to our theatre, and plenty of free street parking on Blount, Polk, Person and neighboring streets. Watch for special signage to avoid ticketing. You cannot park in the big parking lot on weekdays before 5 pm. Please do not park on the South Side of the theatre. Those spaces are reserved for our neighbors at the Murphey School Apartments. SEE BELOW FOR DIRECTIONS TO THE THEATRE.
Want to come early, find a good parking space, and take one of several lovely walks around our area? If so, please proceed at your own risk, but do know there are many great areas for walking and many cool destinations within a quick walk. Just remember the house opens 15-20 minutes before showtime, and all seating is first come, first served.
Here’s a couple spots we recommend:
– New! Walk to North Carolina’s Freedom Park through downtown (~15 minutes)
– Walk through the historic Oakwood Neighborhood and the Historic Oakwood Cemetery (~30 minutes)
– Walk through the grounds of William Peace University (~20 minutes)
